About Kettering FilmMakers Club

Hello, my name's Kerry Carpenter and I have been the Director of Kettering's FilmMakers Club for just over three years.

I run predominantly after-school filmmaking clubs with Primary aged children in Kettering and the surrounding areas.

I am a fully qualified Primary School Teacher and taught for nine years before taking time out to raise my own children. My business is the perfect way to use my professional qualifications, alongside my love of working with children and filmmaking!

The club usually runs for 10 sessions over two consecutive Terms in a school. The children are involved in the pre-production of making a film (storyboard planning), then make decisions about their character and costume. They then take part in the filmmaking process, acting in front of the camera and being part of my camera crew (becoming director, camera operator and clapperboard assistant to name a few of the roles.) I bring in a green screen, the camera, props and other equipment for the children to use. Parents will then receive a downloadable copy of all the children's films.

Please contact me if you need any further help or information on my club.
